The 6ft 7in South African will bring a wealth of experience to the Springbok squad at this year’s World Cup, having been persuaded to return from international retirement in 2014 after a three-year hiatus. The lock – one of the best lineout operators of the last decade – will take part in his fourth World Cup this autumn, having been part of the winning team in 2007. The Pietersburg-born 38-year-old has the most Test caps for the Springboks.
