Lowenbrau Oktoberfest. I remember Lowenbrau as a decent beer in the 70's, until Miller Brewing began making it in the US. Something changed and I never drank it again. Thankfully the craft beer revolution led to many better options and we no longer depended on skunky German imports to satisfy our palates!
Franziskaner Hefe-Weissen is the beer that started my branching out in college. We must have downed pitchers of the stuff at The Sharp Edge in Pittsburgh. Epic refreshment with a lemon wedge floating in all that foam.
