"Something wicked this way comes" (page 41 line 45) This means Macbeth has a huge fear of the witches, as they are the harbrigners of prophecies, but they can also be the bringers of death, as as soon as they told him the prophecies, he killed all those who were close to him.
Mlle ghoul's fairy tales from the shadows....reminds me of a norse myth about the fates and how they spun your life with strings. When you were to die, they would cut the string. An interesting set of tales follows the fates, and they occour in Greek myths as well.
I saw this illustration and thought "I could paper mache a little girl's form over framework, add a wig, fluttery veil and creepy crown of thorns. What if I had 3 or 4 of them standing in my front yard to greet trick or treaters?"
