Margaret designed her dress for marriage to Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. The ceremony was held in a Lynn Valley, North Vancouver church—caftan-style robe she had made herself in Vancouver. The hood of the floor length, white wool garment trimmed in white satin framed the bride's dark red curls, which were garlanded with daisies.
