Greenbrier River Trail Mike and I had a great time for one afternoon on this trail by bike. We plan to do the entire trail sometime next summer or fall!

Mike and Greg used chunks of urbanite and old bricks, and then gravel on top of that.  After some tamping the base is ready for the sub floor mix!  The mix they used for the sub floor was 4 parts sand to 1 1/4 parts clay slip, made from the local clay subsoil.

Take a Tour of Mike Wolfe's Antiques-Filled Tennessee Home

"Pennsylvania is my favorite state for picking. It's town after town and dirt road after dirt road. Plus, everything is so much older. That weather vane came out of an attic in a sixth-generation-owned house. It blew off the barn in 1938. I've found my best picks by driving to the middle of nowhere, then taking the first gravel road I see." In this photo: On a pick in Minnesota, Mike bought this 1915 Excelsior from the great-great-grandson of the original owner.

Spent the day experimenting with a few techniques, one of which was miniature gravel/asphalt. I'll be impressed if you can guess what the road surface is made of! :) #lego #stormtrooper
