One of my favorite places I traveled to in my late 20's was to a small castle ruin in Wales, England. It was a quiet place & I got headphones with narration to walk thru while listening to stories of the battles, day-day lives of the great old warriors of Wales. Great memory!
"It is in Carinthia, the southern part of Austria. The castle tower was renovated about 100 years ago, explaining the different design of the top of the tower. The intention of the owner was to please the Austrian Kaiser Franz Josef I. at the opening ceremony of the Tauern-Railway in 1909. The castle can be visited and has a really nice and intact interior, very authentic!"
