Mixed Wood Wall - Easy & Cheap DIY

I created this mixed wood wall with cheap wood paneling from Lowes, leftover stain and paneling nails for around $40.

minwax stains we have used "provincial" and been VERY happy. since we almost always use red oak, we know exactly how it will look...provincial is a very neutral, medium brown stain color. (when i say "neutral" i mean a color that doesn't read red or yellow or grey.) here are my favorite "neutral" minwax stains, in order from dark to light:

Distressed color: “I used two coats of Minwax Jacobean stain and two coats of Minwax Classic Grey stain. After staining, I also applied one coat of Fiddes & Sons' wax."

The table is finally finished I used Rustoleum's chalk paint "White Linen" and "Jacobean" Minwax stain. Some of you had mentioned sealers turning your white paint yellow. I used Polycrylic clear satin spray to seal this table. It works like a charm and gives it an even coat with no yellow tint! I sealed the top with Polycrylic clear satin from the can with a brush!
