Although I gave birth to you, you came with no instructions. All I knew was that I loved you. I obviously made some mistakes and for that, I apologize, but I was doing the best I could with what I knew and Lord knows that was limited at times. Everything I did came from my deep love for you. You are my child, my life and my heart living outside of me. I will always love you and keep loving you more each day.
I love this illustration. Anytime you see a "mother & child" image, the child is little. The really tough part my mother had? Comforting a belligerent teenager! (by Haddon Sundblom, from "Ladies’ Home Journal", August 1942)
