The CHECKERED GIANT RABBIT (called the Giant Papillon in the UK) is one of only 11 rabbit breeds that have defined markings. For Checkered Giant show rabbits, the standard calls for two large patches of color on either side of the hindquarters. Any spot on the shoulder is a disqualification. The Checker should have a straight line of color down its spine. The minimum weight is 11 pounds, but there is no maximum weight. Not all checkered giants have the 'show rabbit' markings.
