These posters describe acrostic, humorous, lyrical, free verse, and narrative poetry. These posters are the same as the colorful poetry posters but they have polka dot backgrounds. I usually display them with my own poetry to show examples. The students find them more interesting when the examples come from the teacher.

LOVE! Self portrait hand prints - dewestudio lesson Have the students write about their year. What did they think __grade was going to be like, what was it really like? How have they grown? What new things about themselves did they learn? Fill the hands with patterns and the background with their writing.
