Assigned to SEAL Team Six, an East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare unit. Died near Kabul, Afghanistan, of combat related injuries during a successful raid to free Dr. Dilip Joseph of Colorado who was being held captive by the Taliban. Honor him.

SEALs are frequent 'customers' of the elite US Army aviation unit, carrying out numerous operations with them. Also killed was Navy Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator John Wayne Marcum.

Multipurpose Canines Earn their Tridents: Dogs Who Become SEALs

Barry was a Multi-Purpose Canine (MPC) and is now retired and living with his handler. Come to the Museum to learn about Barry, a Belgian Malinois who holds the distinction of being Naval Special Warfare Group Two’s “first dog.” Barry served with the SEALs in Iraq for three years and participated in over 225 combat missions.
