An Art Deco Diamond and Platinum Vintage Engagement Ring. The unusual asymmetrical design of this engagement ring was clearly influenced by the Russian avant garde art of the 1920s-1930s. The ring features a bezel-set old cushion-cut diamond in an openwork frame embellished with old rose-cut diamonds.
I love a good east-west ring setting. Erie Basin took this Old Cut Marquise Shaped 1.28ct Diamond (F/G SI1) from a 1920s ring that wasn't salvageable. They placed it in a low-slung, modern platinum setting that still feels Art Deco in spirit.
