Myth. We know this all too well. I've tried more than a few times to not take pain meds. Even after my surgery, I would wait till I was in tears from pain and the doctors and nurses told me not to do that. I don't seek it for recreation. I NEED RELIEF!!!

I'm worried about pain meds losing their effectiveness or stop working all together. That's why I'm try to stay on such a low grade one and use it as little as possible since I'm still young and I know it will only get worse.

If you are taking pain medication you may want to try this.....take 1/4 teaspoon of the spice Tumeric instead. I put it on a peanut butter cracker because it has a slightly bitter taste. I hear for chronic back pain it works within minutes with no side effects as some pain meds do. I hope this will help someone.....GOD BLESS
