David Hockney was one of the earliest influences I had in the art world. Back then the idea of taking hundreds of Polaroids of a cross roads in Arizona and building a photomontage out of them was so original and mind blowing, now I could do that in Photoshop in an hour. Hockney's paintings of swimming pools always had be yearning to be in Australia or California too!
