Made my own blending line for my reception class today... They were very intrigued and hopefully it will encourage them to think about the sounds that make up words :)

Phonics board linked to RWI. Children look at the picture say the word then use the letters to help sound out the word. I start this with just asking for the initial sound of a word (the other letters are already there) then build up to initial and end, then finally the whole word.

Tricky word tree. Words secured to wall with Velcro. Using Jolly Phonics words here. Later we will have new smaller ones when these are mastered. Velcro allows use when writing or for other activities.

Phonics tree- quite like this could add a new leaf each time they learn a new sound. Then the tree would grow throughout the year :)
