And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for." - - John Keating (Robin Williams) | Jessica made this with

...I don't know why I told you I was good at letting go, for all I do now's watch dead flowers, & pray somehow they'll grow.

Nobody cares about the expensive things you try to brag about online. What really matters, and the only thing people will remember about you when you're dead, is how you treated people and what (if any) good you did for the world. Have you done anything that really makes a difference for the world?

THE MURDER OF ASMA, the daughter of Marwan. Muhammad wanted her dead because of a poem she composed criticizing the tribes of Yathrib for failing to retaliate against him after he assassinated an elderly sheik who had composed satirical verses about him.

My class used to visit the cemetery at my school growing up and we would do grave rubbings for art class....I remember there was a teenage girl who had died and this poem was on her always made me so sad.
