A skylight will give you extra lighting.
After a lot of careful research and considering what my realistic options and abilities are in terms of building and financing, I have decided that converting a shed into a tiny house is my best option. This is the model I'll be purchasing (about $7,000 for a 12x20 and they have rent to own) and I can get a loan from the bank to finish out the interior. Plus side is it's still portable, though not as easily as a tiny house built on wheels. But it also has a lot more space so...priorities.
shed cost about $200 in new materials. already had the screws & hardware, purchased the plywood, lumber & roofing. project best done by 2 people It is sturdy in a storm. The sheds have no floors so they are lighter and easier to move. In the winter, the goats stay inside a lot and the hay builds up, making it warm & snug. The hardest part is removing the hay in the spring. we periodically fork it out throughout the winter, shed has 3.5 walls
