Prince Randian The Living Torso/The Human Worm. Born w/o limbs, he was able to write, paint, shave & roll cigarettes using only his mouth.


The Living Torso 1901 This is Prince Randian, also known as The Snake Man, The Living Torso and The Human Caterpillar. He was a famous limbless sideshow performer of the early 1900s, and was renowned because of his ability to be incredibly self-sufficient - he could shave, paint, write and even roll cigarettes for himself. His career was extremely successful and he reportedly worked for 45 years as a performer.

Prince Randian, the living torso. Prince Randian, whose real name has been lost to history, was born in Demarara, British Guyana, in 1871, the child of British Indian slaves. He was brought to the United States in the 1890s to appear in freak shows, where he demonstrated the ease and facility with which he could shave, write, paint, and roll cigarettes - all without arms or legs.
