Also in 2004 she was presented with an Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace London.

Is an English comedy actor who appeared in 3 of the early Carry On films "Carry On Nurse" (1959) "Carry On Teacher" (1959) & "Carry On Constable" (1960). After which he told Peter Rogers that he did not wish to do any more Carry Ons, though he did return for "Carry On Columbus" (1992). He was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 1998 Queen's Birthday Honours & was promoted to Commander (CBE) in 2008.

Travel trio in Queen's Birthday Honours list Manchester Airport Group chairman Michael Davies has been honoured in the Queen's Birthday Honours List with an OBE for his services to business. Ken Macleod, chairman for Stena Line UK, was awarded an OBE for services to the shipping industry and charity.
