Fill a glass of water (almost to the top) and place it at the very edge of the counter in a dark kitchen. Place a sheet of plain white paper on the floor a few inches away from the counter. Put two pieces of masking tape over the front of a flashlight so that the light comes out of a slit about 1/8 inch (0.3 cm) wide.
Rainbow activities: Rainbow craft. Simply cut strips of rainbow colored paper. Children gently bend, glue and add cotton ball "clouds". For writing practice, have students write the color word on each strip, as well as something in the room that's that color. Completed projects look awesome dangling from the ceiling!
What an awesome science project for kids! Make a walking water rainbow with just a few simple supplies: water, paper towels and food coloring. Great idea for a science fair project or just-because science activity.
