Seusstastic Classroom Inspirations: Daily 5 Read to Someone... This will help to keep the kiddos on task and responsible for their work!

Read to Someone anchor chart in kindergarten. After going creating traditional Daily 5 anchor charts with students, I made these using Scrappin Doodles clip art. Colored (that is crayon wax melting - oops) laminated, and using a Vis-a-Vis (they don't smudge as Expo's do) we talked about what they were doing and made notes. Had to make some alterations to hands/eyes with some of the art so that they were "on their work". LOL. Kids said the eyes were creepy. Ha!

Print front and back to make double sided bookmarks. Have students use these bookmarks when they are reading with a buddy during "read to someone time". The "coaching" side will help students assist their partners without just telling them a word or the answer. The "check for understanding" side will help partners ask questions about the book they are reading.
