For the kids...I did this with glitter instead and included it in a letter from Santa recruiting them to help guide the reindeer with the glitter sprinkles.

The idea of Magic Reindeer Food is certainly not new, or my own, but I think it's a good one and wanted to put my own spin on it. I packaged up some oats, colored sugars, and holiday "jimmies", and added toppers to the bags. You can't see it in the photos (because I did it after I took the photos), but these also got a spritz of super fine gold glitter for lots of shimmer and shine. Oooo la la!

We sprinkle reindeer food on the lawn every year, but I've never seen this poem before. I think this poem and the ingredients for the reindeer food will make a pretty awesome Elf on the Shelf morning.
