One tablespoon of classic Dawn liquid – the blue stuff One cup of hydrogen peroxide Dab onto stain with a clean cloth or sponge. Try it? According to WardrobeOxygen: This can remove red wine, blood, yellowed stains from sweat and deodorant, grass, even stains that have been laundered and are old. I have since used it on heavier duty fabrics with an old clean toothbrush, and have poured it directly on to stains to pretreat before washing.
1. Add a cup of peroxide instead of bleach to a load of whites. If there are protein stains, pour it directly on the spot, let it sit for a minute, then rub it and rinse with water. 2. Use peroxide to clean mirrors. No smearing. 3. Use 3% for removing blood stains – especially if fresh. Pour directly on the spot, let sit for a minute, then rub/rinse with cold water. ½ c. hydrogen peroxide + 1 t. ammonia = great stain removal combination.
I just tried this and it really worked! All menstruating women need to know how to get blood stains out! After you use the cornstarch/salt/water blend (I didn't have peroxide) then just mist water onto the mattress and soak it up with paper towels. Worked like magic!
