    You know all those pretty candle jars that you don't want to throw out? This is how to clean them so that you can reuse them for anything you want :)

    These last couple of weeks I tackled a project I’ve been meaning to for a while: cleaning and reusing my empty...

    Removing candle wax. Once you're done with the candle jar, it'll have a little bit of candle left. Put the jar inside your freezer. Let it sit for at least an hour.

    Reuse candle jars // To make a makeup brush holder, just use coloured sand or pebbles (the smaller the better as it will be easier to place brushes into) and fill up the jar. Probably could use epsom salts too.

    get old bits of candle out of container - boil water, pour into jar/container, let cool COMPLETELY (this is key), the wax will loosen from the sides and you can take it right out. Don't pour water down drain - it has wax in it!

    Happy-Go-Lucky: Easy Candle Upcycle/ I did this the past 3 days and love the stripes :) be sure to buy wicks, I couldn't find any at the store I was at so I used a taper one in each. Huge mistake. They melted faster then the original wax. Goodbye ugly half burned candles tho...great fun. Oh and I used crayons to change the plain white and yellow to pretty colors :-)
