Robert Prosky - "I don't take any shit from you kids. This place is for working stiffs gotta keep their cars running so they can keep bread on the table, it's not for rich-assed, snot-nose kids who wanna go dragging around on the Orange Belt."

Robert Prosky (1930-2008) — Years before Hill St Blues or Mrs. Doubtfire, my AP English teacher took our class to see him play the lead in Death of a Salesman on DC's Arena Stage. It was one of those shattering performances you never forget and never regret. The entire class was sort of subdued when we left the theater but wanted to talk about it later. Somehow he made it mesmerizing to watch the anguish of an ordinary man.
