Beatrix Potter - A Journal-In addition to all the stories published in separate issues or in collections, there is a delightful book entitled Beatrix Potter A Journal. It 's the story of the life of Beatrix Potter (in English) as a young woman in Victorian England as it struggles to achieve independence and to find artistic success and romantic love. Graphically the text seems a diary (probably inspired by the diaries of Beatrix found posthumously)
'Brother Cadfael' after the Ellis Peters detective story set in Shropshire where the David Austin Roses nursery is located. I'd LOVE to have one, or more, of these if I could figure out how to keep it alive and happy here in Zone 4A!
Penguin classics. Zoe has Arabian Nights, Wuthering Heights, Sense and Sensibility, Alice in Wonderland, Middlemarch, a Collection of Shakespearean poetry, Oliver Twist, Hound of the Baskervilles, Le Mis, and A Christmas Carol and other Dickens Christmas stories. I like English romantics, British romantics, and poetry.
