2/21/15 Arrest made in case involving dog who was burned to death in cage. Responding fire fighters had initially thought that trash had been set on fire, but they soon realized that a dog had been set on fire inside of a crate. Thanks to tips from the public, the Sacramento Sheriff's Department arrested 20-year-old Willie Bee Turner. The dog was believed to be alive before being set on fire and left to perish in a burning cage.

Investigator Michael Davis was shot and killed while taking part in a massive manhunt for the murderer of Deputy Sheriff Danny Oliver of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
