Paula Deen Ham Salad - Many years ago my mother fixed ham salad, and I liked it so much better than plain ham sandwiches. Having left- over ham from the holidays, I looked for a recipe that was much like what she made. This filled the bill. Brought a whole new meaning to leftovers! Old-Fashioned Ham Salad. 2 cups ham, fat trimmed off and diced;½ cup miracle whip;¼ cup mayo;2 teaspoons dried onion flakes;1 teaspoon stone ground mustard;1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish. Dice the ham into small 1/2" cubes. Add all of the remaining ingredients except for the relish to a food processor and pulse until chunky. Old- Fashioned Ham Salad: 2 c ham, 1/2 c miracle whip, 1/4 c mayo, 2 t onion flakes, 1 t stone ground mustard, 1 T sweet or dill pickle relish, Garnish: Butter crackers and sliced Swiss cheese cut into squares.
