2cup flour, 1 1/3 cup salt, 4 tsp., powdered alum or cream of tarter. 2 cup boiling water, 4 tsp. vegetable oil Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add vegetable oil and boiling water. Stir until well-blended. Clay should not stick to the sides of the bowl and should be cool enough to handle. Clay keeps several months in an air-tight container. Dries overnight.
