Scarlett Johansson in Lucy - I know this film has been criticized a lot, also by many feminists, and I agree it was silly on many levels, but nevertheless it made me feel extremely empowered in a way few movies have. A strong, independent female character (whose femininity or sexuality is NOT the main aspect of her being!) in control of her actions and the world around her is incomprehensibly rare theme in a movie of any genre. More of this, please.

Lucy. The whole movie is based on this stupid "we only use 10% of our brain at any given time" myth. Didn't like it.
