Of the three motions, the deltoid acts most powerfully in abduction. The C5 neurologic level supplies sensation to the lateral arm from the summit of the shoulder to the elbow. The purest patch of axillary nerve sensation, pictured here on the right, lies over the lateral portion of the deltoid muscles. This localized sensory area within the C5 dermatome is useful for indicating specific trauma to the axillary nerve, as well as general trauma to the C5 nerve root.
sensory nerve damage in fibromyalgia and autoimmune disease is due to an inability to metabolize vit B12. B12 maintains the myelin sheath. The myelin sheath protects the nerves of the spinal cord. The inability is due to missing digestive enzymes called protease. These enzymes can be replaced through diet. It will not help to take B12 supplements Without these enzymes, the myelin sheath will continue to deteriorate. Damage to the sensory nerves can lead to trigeminal neuralgia etc.
I've been wearing this little Quell device around my calf. It's a small device that works using neurotechnology. It stimulates sensory nerves in your calf that carry pulses to your brain and central nervous system. Together they trigger your natural pain relief system that blocks the pain.
Fibromyalgia Update!: June 19th, 2013 by Pat Anson, Editor Researchers are touting a “breakthrough discovery” in the diagnosis of fibromyalgia – a complex and painful condition that affects millions of people around the world. In a new study being published in Pain Medicine, the journal of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, researchers based at Albany Medical College say they may have finally found the first biological evidence of what causes fibromyalgia.
SELSAP (Surface Evoked Laryngeal Sensory Action Potential) is a non-invasive, surface evoked, sensory nerve function testing of the superior laryngeal nerve that is thought to cause a persistent chronic cough in patients who suffer from laryngeal sensory neuropathy.
