In love with this all black + herringbone wood panel detail. #architecture #details ALLEY-FACING WALL. THIS IS NEAT AND PROBABLY POSSIBLE. COULD DO THIS SAME PATTERN WITH A DETAIL AROUND THE DOOR AND WOOD ABOVE IT. I THOUGHT COULD BE COOL IF THE BLACK PANEL PARTS WERE HIGHER THAN THE MIDDLE WOOD PART, WOULD WOULD "SPLIT" THE HALFVES (GRANTED, THE DOOR WOULD NOT BE CENTERED LIKE IT IS - THAT WILL REMAIN WHERE IT IS CURRENTLY)
“The walls are clad with large pre-fabricated slabs of concrete. Mixed with pulverized limestone and copper, the principal materials used to build the villa, the concrete cladding will turn green. Water enriched with copper ions running down the façade will accelerate the change. Through this compressed process of patinization, the new building will make a journey in time to the meet the genius loci.” Gigon Guyer, Oskar Reinhart Collection Am Römerholz, Winterthur, Switgzerland, 1998..
