Turquoise petals and silver - I was asked to create a cake for a local bridal magazine. They wanted something soft and hard. So I started with two tiers that I covered in gray fondant. I used Chefmaster silver spray to achieve the metallic finish. I did about three coats on each tier. Then I hand cut turquoise fondant circles and folded them in half to create the petals. I made the flower out of coral fondant, with a rhinestone center. ( another pinner)
Cake by City Girl Cakes in Halifax From the designer: "The inspiration for this cake came from a magazine ad for Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet fragrance. Natalie Portman wears this amazing white dress with tiny petal blossoms in an ombre colour pattern from the bottom coming up to the top. The colour palette for the cake (white and silver with various shades of purple and pink) came directly from that dress and a floral arrangement used in another ad for the fragrance.
