“Tree of Life” by Mary Harris, Harris Art Glass, Helena, MT. Created to help raise funds for The Florence Crittenton org that works with mothers and babies in Helena, MT. The luminous torso is made of glass and the baby was hand painted onto the belly prior to slumping the glass over a mold. The lovely tree branches, flowers, and roots were then entwined across the slumped glass - Hangs from a section of reinforcing rebar and is lit from within by LED rope lights.
constructed of traditional stained glass mixed with 7 fused glass pieces. All have been hand cut, drilled and strung with nylon coated stainless steel flexible wire and brass crimps. All of the beads used in the chimes are glass, some of which I have lampworked myself. The overall width of the chime is 8" and the length is 31" (including the hanging chain and hook). by kirksglassart on etsy
