112 Cartoon Elements Make Learning The Periodic Table Fun

Proof that everything is easier to learn when presented via Pokemon-style. Artist <a href=" target="_blank">Kacie D. lovingly anthropomorphized every single element, which deserves to be converted into a children's book.

Do you love socks as much as Dobby? Do happy neurons fire at the thought of a handmade Periodic Table of the Elements? Enjoy these extraordinary examples of great crochet and knit projects (and some crochet patterns!) for (and by) nerds and geeks:

Tin is a chemical element with symbol Sn (for Latin: stannum) and atomic number 50. It is a main group metal in group 14 of the periodic table. Tin shows chemical similarity to both neighboring group-14 elements, germanium and lead, and has two possible oxidation states, +2 and the slightly more stable +4. Tin is the 49th most abundant element and has, with 10 stable isotopes, the largest number of stable isotopes in the periodic table.

Ah... Snapple. I will never see your name the same way again. :) This has been my favorite chemistry joke for years.
