Solids, Liquids or Gas? Fill one bag up with air (gas), another with water (liquid) and another with a solid (a crayon). Have kids compare the properties of the contents in all three baggies. Do they have color? Are they hard? Soft? Flexible? Do they change shape? Do they fill up the entire bag?
We talked about the properties of Matter (weight, size, shape, texture...etc) . They each grabbed a picture out of a grab bag and had to create a foldable and describe their matter using the properties. hey grabbed a puppy picture. They described its Texture: soft, fluffy, Size: Small, Shape: mostly round, Color: white, Weight: light weight until they grow up...isn't that cute?
