"Along Came a Spider" (2001). A congressman's daughter under Secret Service protection is kidnapped from a private school by an insider who calls Det. Alex Cross, sucking him into the case even though he's recovering from the loss of his partner. Morgan Freeman is great as Alex Cross, in this riveting thriller.
The (less than) Amazing Spider-Man. The Best Parts: Hundreds of bad writing and directing choices are canceled out by the pure chemistry between the two leads (encore!); I didn't know they were remaking Teen Wolf; Brighter, more comical than the first trilogy; Andrew Garfield: Best Cryer Ever (devilish smile, too); Well executed Spidey/Lizardo fight sequences (almost like a real video game!); Sometimes... it is "too soon"
