St. Georges University of the Caribbean: I made a huge decision in 2010 to leave everything I knew behind and attend Vet School at SGU. The 8 months I spent on this island taught me so much and allowed me to grow in so many aspects of my life, I am so thankful for the experience I had. My husband and I would LOVE to retire on this beautiful Island!

Sir Francis Darwin obtained a medical degree in 1875, but never practiced medicine. He instead applied his physiological training to plants, becoming his father’s lab assistant. Francis is the only person to share book co-authorship w/ his father (The Power of Movement in Plants, 1880). He developed the field of plant hormones & elevated plant physiology to a science in its own right at Cambridge University. He was elected FRS and knighted.
