St. Joseph of Cupertino; Feast day September 18. Patron Saint of Pilots and air travelers. He was ordained as a Franciscan in 1628 and gifted with many powers, one of them being the ability to fly. His "gifts" gained him notoriety and ultimately he was banished to a small friary in a remote part of Italy.
