Don Thompson, the former CEO of McDonald’s, has agreed to return to the billion-dollar fast-food chain, but this time, he’ll do it for $3,000,000 as a consultant. Although Thompson retired March 1 amid controversy regarding his business strategies, which some believed weakened the company’s success in the United States, McDonald’s has retained Thompson as a consultant to work closely with their new CEO, Steve Easterbrook.
