How to schedule your day for maximum productivity when you're unemployed

from The Economist

The three types of unemployment

The Economist lays out the three types of unemployment: "frictional, cyclical and structural". The first two are generally temporary and depend season and geographic. The third is depressingly permanent and affects the overall economy. Many people who experience structural unemployment rarely make the jump back out of it. Sometimes structural unemployment and the unemployed need job training, or higher education that is unattainable. Government policies are often needed to ease this type.

This simple metric across two recessions indicates The United States now has a structural unemployment problem.
