The stuffing is fantastic! Since my family likes the stuffing and not the grape leaf part I often just make the stuffing. I reduce the onion to 1 large, rice to 1c and kind of wing it from there. It holds for several days and is good with tahini lemon sauce in a pita with tomatoes and feta.
I use ground beef instead of lamb and beef broth instead of water. I also squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top before putting the lid on to cook. About 2 lemons worth. But ohhhh I could eat these lil guys every single day!
