Hosta 'Sun Power' H 24" Spread 48". High degree of sun tolerance. Full sun-Full shade - purchased at Vermont Flower Farm in Marshfiled, summer 2012

A striking planting combination with the chartreuse of the hosta (sun power) and purple astilbes. These both like light shade and preferably morning sun. Just remember to keep the slugs away with organic slug pellets, copper rings or even coffee grinds will work for the hostas which are a delicious green buffet for the molluscs otherwise. The Big red eye of the #HelixNebula in Infrared Part 2 | the nebula's central star itself is immersed in a surprisingly bright infrared glow. Models suggest the glow is produced by a dust debris disk. Even though the #nebular material was ejected from the star many thousands of years ago, the close-in dust could have been generated by collisions in a reservoir of objects analogous to our own #solarsystem's #KuiperBelt or #CometaryOortCloud.
