My Little Book of Punctuation is an interactive book in which students learn about the definitions of each type of ending mark punctuation, practice writing them, practice identifying which sentences use which type of punctuation, and writing their own sentences using different ending marks.

Punctuation Scavenger Hunt - look in books and tally the number of times each punct mark was used. Bump it up and have kids copy down the sentence and bring to group and share. Read aloud for oral fluency and discuss how punctuation affects how the sentence is read out loud.

MINTS Acronym for capitalisation A cute idea to go with this would be to get letter stickers on the wrappers of mints and say a word and have them spell it whether it should be capitalised or not!:)
