Use this activity as an ice breaker for the first week of school or as a classroom community builder. I have my students sit in a circle around our carpet, and I project the "Roll a topic" sheet up on the SmartBoard. Each student takes a turn rolling the dice and answering the corresponding question.

1.) Tape a name of a celebrity, teacher in the school, or tv character on each students back. Their job is to figure out who they are! 2.) Teach them how to ask… “What am I like?” and phrases like “I know that already”, “What else?” and, of course..”YOU ARE _______”

Have one student sit on a chair in front of a white board while the others wrote a positive phrase about them. They could not peek at what was being written. It was fun to watch the smiles on all their faces as they shared what they loved about each other. Take a picture and give it to them in another lesson. It was my hope that this activity will provide a reminder of the positive and sweet influence they are for others.
