This is similar to what we did at the Camporee, except I had to drape it over the tent & stake the tarp out because we didn't have the extra two trees. It still worked well & we were dry. We had a nice vestibule at the door.

DIY Condensation prevention. You know how the bottom of your tent is always damp when breaking down camp? Solution: put a flannel backed vinyl tablecloth on the ground first, fuzzy side up, and put your tent over it. It acts as a moisture barrier much better than a tarp or blanket does.
