Barbecue Sauce Recipe: North Carolina Vinegar Sauce

Classic vinegar-based Eastern North Carolina BBQ sauce ~ 1 cup apple cider vinegar, 1 Tbsp dark brown sugar, 1 Tbsp ketchup, 2 tsp Texas Pete hot sauce, 1/2 tsp ea. red pepper flakes, ground black pepper, & kosher salt. Place all ingredients in small, non-reactive sauce pan & bring to a simmer until sugar & salt dissolve. Texas Pete Buffalo Chicken - Easy - Take 3 lbs of chicken breast, one bottle of Texas Pete Hot Wing Sauce, and one pack of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix. Combine all items in a crock pot, cook on low for 7 hrs. Shred meat, cook on low for one more hours to let sauce infuse. Eat straight, or serves on fajitas with shredded cheese, sour cream and lettuce. Delicious!
