The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls When I asked for reading suggestions at the end of my last book club chat, many of you said The Glass Castle. It’s the memoir of a girl growing up in a very eclectic and cash-strapped family.
Replace the alcoholic father with a workoholic father, and the mother is kind of the same but also the one who syphoned away money to god knows where... this was pretty much my childhood too. The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. Incredible memoir of an unorthodox childhood. Jeannette Walls grew up with parents whose ideals and stubborn nonconformity were both their curse and their salvation.
Magnificant Murano glass chandelier with brass details...Italy 1970's Beautifull organic chandelier made from brass and murano glass. The glass is treated in a way that is glitters when the light breaks it's surface. The combination of the light blue color and the glass is excellent done! (gorgeous!)
Awesome idea to close off a dining room if needed.... Glass barn doors...Gives charm and a rustic feel to any home, love being able to separate rooms, but open them completely as if doors didn't exist whenever you want!
The Glass Cloche: they have been everywhere for 10 or so years, almost all of us have one, and I'm willing to bet most of them sit empty :) I know mine does. It was filled with pinecones once at Christmas, but that seemed so expected... So when I stumbled upon the Reimaginists versions of the Glass cloche via Restoration Hardware I was a little awestruck!
