"These Eyes" by the Guess Who was certified gold 45 year ago today (6/9/1969). The song was written by band members Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings. Bachman will later go on to BTO. When I saw Rod Stewart about 20 years ago he introduced Bachman who was playing guitar for him. Cummings will do a few solo projects. The two artists will reunite in a group called Bachman  Cummings and also in Ringo's All-Star Band.
