This fantastic cover for H.P. Lovecraft's 'Shadow Over Innsmouth' appeared only on the Canadian edition of Weird Tales in 1942.

Trivia: Innsmouth was a finalist for the 1936 Summer Olympic Games (and we can see here the Innsmouth swim team practicing). The town never fully forgave the Olympic committee for passing Innsmouth for the more family-friendly city of Berlin. A shame, really.

The cover of my ongoing anthology of Lovecraft audio readings now available from Soundcloud. Includes everything I've read since 2007, including The Shadow over Innsmouth, and The Colour out of Space. Artwork by Jon Cape. Check it out here:

2nd favorite Lovecraft story. The 1st is The Call of Cthulhu. I read it every Halloween.
